Trista @ Mercedez Benz DFashion Mexico

Sorry for the delay on uploading the rest of the pics of the Mercedez Benz DFashion Mexico but I've been having quite some boxing rounds with my internet. So now I'm experimeting with the blogger iPhone app.

Trista was the show I liked the most of the ones I had the opportunity to attend. It was a combination of a rough image and a soft and breezy one.
Neutral and earth tones and estructural cuts in contrast with ethereal white dresses in light, flowy fabrics. And the shoes!!! Where can I get a pair of those?!

Karla Fernandez @ Mercedez Benz DFashion Mexico

Karla Fernandez showed us a collection with beachy and tribal motifs
in sea tones...blues, mustard and coral.
Sunglasses that reminisce to Prada ss'11, statement bangles and ah-mazing shoes.
My favorite part?
Guess!

ps. Sorry for the low-res pics but I'm still working out the whole iphone app thing!

In memoriam

Today while in class I opened Safari to google something, but when the apple webpage
(my homepage ever since I bought my mac) when I suddenly bumped into a picture of a
round-glasses-wearing man in black and white and a leyend reading:

Steve Jobs
1955 - 2011

Steve Jobs was truly a visionaire.
He not only revolutionized communication, but changed life as we knew it.
About three years ago when I was about to graduate from high school I watched for
the first time this speech he gave in Stanford University back in '05 and I remember
myself watching it in awe, trying to drink in all of the lessons we can learn from him.
And learning what until today is one of my favorite mottos...

"Stay hungry, and stay foolish."

His hunger for learning new things, even unconventional ones pushed him further and further.
Also, knowing that there is nothing to lose and the importance of recognizing opportunity in crisis,
not taking things too seriously, because in the end, life is fleeting
and we will all, someday, pass away.

At least for me, this is one lesson I learned from him and his work.
So thank you, Steve Jobs.
Rest in Peace.

Stay hungry, and stay foolish.

Pink Magnolia was a series of little mermaids high on cupcakes with an extra-dose of glitter. I liked some pieces like the pink pants and the metallic blue ones and I loved the hair styling, though some of the hair extensions were too obvious in some of the models.
¿What do you think?
